Every plan has a ceiling on how many contractors you can track. The Free plan stops at 25; paid plans are unlimited under fair use. When you hit it, the Add Contractor button stops working and tells you why.
What still works
Everything except adding more. Your existing contractors, their documents, requests, alerts and exports all carry on exactly as before. Hitting the cap is a wall in front of new records, not a switch that turns the product off.
The two ways out
Remove contractors you no longer work with
Free is 25 records, not 25 active relationships. If a third of your list is people you used once in 2024, deleting them gets you room — but it takes their document history with it, so export first if the history matters.
Move to a paid plan
Removes the cap and brings per-deadline alerts and team members with it. What each plan includes · Start a trial or upgrade
Two different messages
There's a second, similar-looking block worth telling apart:
- "You've reached your limit" — you're at the cap for your plan. Ordinary, described above.
- "Complete checkout" — you picked a paid plan but the payment never finished, so no plan is granting you anything. Adding contractors is blocked until checkout completes. Finish it here.
