Invite brokers and assign them clients

In this article: Owners and admins see the whole portfolio; a broker sees only the clients you name.

Agency team members are managed on Settings → Team. There are three roles, and the difference between them is how much of the portfolio they can reach.

Inviting

  1. Open Settings → Team

Settings → Team, then invite by email address.

  2. Invite and set the role

Choose the role. If in doubt, choose broker — you can widen it later in one click, and starting narrow is the cheaper mistake.

  3. Assign clients to a broker

For a broker, assign the clients they handle. Until you do, they can sign in and see nothing, which is correct but confusing if nobody told them.

Changing what someone reaches

Two levers, and it's worth knowing which one you want:

  • Re-role them. Broker to admin gives them the whole portfolio at once. This is the lever for "they've been promoted".
  • Change their assignments. Keeps them a broker, changes which clients. This is the lever for "they've picked up the Riverside account".

Careful

Re-roling a broker to admin hands them every client in the portfolio, including ones you may have kept deliberately separate. If the intent was "give them two more accounts", add the assignments instead.

Removing someone

Remove them from Settings → Team. Access ends immediately, and everything they did stays in each client's activity log under their name.
