Invite a teammate

In this article: Add colleagues to your organization, and what an owner can do that a member can't.

Applies to Starter plan or above

Chasing paperwork is rarely one person's job, and it shouldn't be one person's inbox either. Adding teammates means alerts reach everyone who can act on them.

  1. Open Settings → Members

    Settings → the Members tab.

  2. Send the invitation

Click Invite a teammate and enter their email address.

  3. They accept

They get an invitation email. Once they accept, they see the same contractors, documents and alerts you do.

The split is deliberately simple: everyone can do the work, only owners can change what you pay. Nobody is blocked from filing a certificate because of a permission.

Everyone gets the alerts

Expiration alerts and the weekly summary go to every member. That's usually what you want — the whole point is that a lapse doesn't sit unnoticed in one person's inbox while they're on holiday.

Note

Team members need a Starter plan or above; Free is a single user. Pro is unlimited users, where Starter caps at two — what each plan includes.

Removing someone

Remove them from the Members tab. They lose access immediately; everything they did stays in the Activity Log under their name, which is what an audit trail is for.
