Cancel your subscription

In this article: What cancelling does to your data, your contractors, and your access.

Applies to Owner only

Cancel from the Subscription screen. Owner-only.

What happens to your data

Nothing is deleted. Your contractors, certificates, licences, W-9s and history all stay. What changes is which features you can reach.

You fall back to free-tier limits: per-deadline alerts and the contractor's copy of them stop, projects and reports become unavailable, and you're held at the free contractor cap. The weekly summary carries on — it's on every plan.

If you're over the free cap, you keep every contractor you had. You can't add more, and document uploads pause until you're back under it. Nobody is deleted to make you fit.

Before you go

Tip

Export your data first, while you're still on a plan that includes it. It takes a minute and it's much easier now than later.

Coming back

Subscribe again and everything returns as it was — same contractors, same documents, same history. Note that the 30-day trial is once per organization, so a returning account subscribes directly rather than trialling again.

If it's something we can fix

If you're leaving because something doesn't work or a feature is missing, tell us before you cancel. Not to talk you out of it — but a good number of cancellations turn out to be a setting, and it's a shame when they aren't.
