Upload links don't last forever. Here's what each message means and what to do about it.
"This link has expired"
Links stop working 14 days after they're sent. Yours has been sitting in your inbox too long.
Ask the company that sent it for a new one — it takes them a couple of clicks. You've not done anything wrong and nothing needs explaining.
"This request has already been completed"
The documents were already uploaded through this link — often by your office, your business partner or your insurance agent. Nothing more is needed.
If you want to send something else, ask for a new link.
"Page not found"
Usually a broken link rather than an expired one. The most common cause is an email client splitting a long URL across two lines, so only half of it gets copied.
Open the email again and tap the button rather than copying the address. If you forwarded the email, try the original.
"Not available right now"
Something on the company's side is holding uploads. This one you can't fix — let them know and they'll sort it out.
Nothing arrived at all
- Check spam and junk. Automated emails asking for documents land there routinely.
- Check whether it went to a different address — the one they have on file may be an old one, or your office's.
- Ask them to resend, and confirm which address they're using while you're at it.
